Come As You Are/CAYA events platform stylistically diverse electronica artists in Aotearoa, including electronica-adjacent musicians. Each event will have a curated theme aiming to unify the diversity. In this case thematically CAYA 02 will be in a word *Dark*
So do bring your cheerful selves to this aesthetically dense continuous audio experience, with the wind changing later for Session 2 driving into the heavy weather of a dance your arse off techno banger.

SHALOM BK
Television skies rain black and white while SHALOM BK
convinces your brain stem to place dark music in your
god-shaped hole. Fragmenting your higher thoughts to
make room for your own death cult experience.
aBraille (pronounced abe rail)
Andrew Taylor/aBraille is a musician focused on modular
analog synthesis performance. Shepherding generative and
played behaviours with a variety of systems and sometimes
rare instruments.
Here combining atonal experimental and the rhythmically wonky
with harmonic consonance and techno/electro electronica concepts.
ABRAXXUM
ABRAXXUM formed in 2020 by Atrociter (Diocletian) with the
intent of playing and recording, Occult themed, genre bending
cross between Dark Ritual Ambience, Power Electronics,
Black Metal Noise and Old Industrial revisionism.

Misled Convoy
Ambience dripping with Dub.
For CAYA02 Misled Convoy will be further exploring the use
of organic objects and piezo transducers into a dub matrix
Haszari
Haszari's DJ sets weave across minimal, techno, and house –
eclectic with a consistent groove; never too serious to get
down. His original tunes centre on tech-house, dub and
breakbeat and the space between sounds.
PainJ
Minimal beats and textures amplifiy the poly-rhythmic
nature of the phosphenes that dance against the backdrop
of your shuttered eyelids.
Alice
Originally from Belgrade and currently based in Auckland,
New Zealand her performances are a fusion of relentless
basslines, dark textures, and pulsating rhythms that captivate
and transport.
With roots in drum and bass, Alice incorporates her love
for sci-fi soundscapes and the industrial grit of techno
into her sets.
Monohull
Monohull is a project for composer/sound artist Peter Hobbs
to be able to explore darker modular synth textures and beats
within a live techno framework.
CYXQRD (pronounced six chord)
CYXQRD stands for the intelligent interpretation of techno
and electronic music. His unique definition of techno is
best described as deep, intentional and expressive yet
danceable. Characterised by intense rhythms and expansive
mindscapes.
