Moider Mother are elated to be executing their first out of town spectacle, playing alongside some of Dunedin's finest practitioners of sonic necromancy. In a bittersweet turn of events, this will be Human Susan's last ever live performance so it'll be a very special night indeed.
Moider Mother are travelling in support of their new single Hierarchy of Grottos, which is backed by a cover of Surf's Up by Christchurch curmudgeons Into the Void.
Of Moider Mother's debut album Bruce Russell (The Dead C) wrote:
Take a pinch of Raincoats, add a tablespoon of early Swans, sauté in the first Stooges album and add half a brick. Put it in a sock. Bon appétit!
Human Susan is an alien trying to assimilate herself into the world, navigating the absurdity and mundanity of human embodiment. A crunchy and sparkly cosmic soup. Moider Mother feel incredibly privileged to be sharing a stage with these unearthly phenomenons, and we predict this final recital will soon be the stuff of legend.
Matt Middleton, who records as Crude (Flying Nun, Ecstatic Peace!), needs little introduction to anyone interested in the overheated acceleration of new-glitch, tech-psych and synth-punk. Monsieur Middleton promises a set dripping with angular beats and odd inflections with logos in tow.
It's spring and things are ticking along well at Adrenochrome HQ. After recently mounting their first oxygen-free summit of Everest Adrenochrome Babies (now featuring Nick Harte on trap kit) are feeling revitalised and ready to continue upon their quest to headline Coachella and expose Zuckerborg. For their next port of call, their good friends and new allies in this grand offensive, Moider Mother, has invited them to spread the gospel to the fine people of Dunedin. The cause grows stronger by the day. (Spiritually enriching noises).
