We are kicking off the Spring series on 1 September, with a lineup of: Megan O’Donovan, William Jackman, Cindy Muggeridge and Bill Hickman,
Megan O’Donovan - Megan is a songwriter based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Her music has a raw, simple beauty; harmonies make her heart soar. Megan is inspired by indie-folk and melodic electronica. She will be supported by friends Gill and Cammy on drums and bass; they play together locally in trio 'Finding Rainbows”.
William Jackman - Hailing from Wellington, William has been preforming off and on-again with both groups and solo for the last decade. After living and preforming in the UK and Europe, William came back to little ole Aotearoa and settled in Auckland for three years. There he honed his skills playing in venues both big n small. With a clear love for the blues and the singer-songwriters of yesteryear William brings with him his trusty Telecaster, a voice that’ll shake the cobwebs free and set of songs that might even feel like cutting onions. Cindy Muggeridge - Wellington singer songwriter Cindy Muggeridge is usually found rocking her boogie and blues piano and big warm voice with the Raven Mavens Quartette, or with harmonica ace Neil Billington.
Bill Hickman is an intense, lyrical singer/songwriter and a long serving stalwart of New Zealand stages, Bill has played in bands (The Shot Band, Billy Bones, Parcel of Rogues and King Lazy) and as a soloist. A self-described ‘folkie with a chip on his shoulder’ Bill’s songs run the gamut from murder and outlaws to absent friends, love and gratitude. His first full length solo album. 'Crossbones' was released in May 2019.
