Join us at Vogelmorn Upstairs for two of Te Whanganui-a-Tara's most dynamic pop acts !!!
lorazepam is the electronic pop project of Lora Martin. With the accompaniment of Lochi Noble (crossingwater, Mirror Ritual), they play as a duo with sprawling melodic pop tracks that flirt with sounds of ambient, noise, dark wave, industrial club and modern pop music. Inspirations are all over the place from Fennesz to Xiu Xiu to The Veronicas to women going through breakdowns in arthouse films from the 80's. Lorazepam have been playing shows around the city for the past year (including the Camp A Low Hum renegade stage) and are ready to take on the VBC <3
missrosevalentina (f.k.a Hybrid Rose) is NZ's biggest campy pop star, making waves in the underground music scene with her loveable nostalgic style. Her playful bubblegum pop aesthetic creates a distinctive frequency that cultivates cantankerous textures and sugar-high bubblegum debauchery. Rose takes influence from Charli XCX and Lady Gaga. After 8 years of a synth-pop reign, Rose rebranded herself as missrosevalentina, a highly visual pop diva and even higher femme flair.
Doors are at 7PM and music starts at 8PM.
Come early to grab a bite downstairs and a drink at the bar and enjoy the cozy vibe that Vogelmorn Bowling Club has to offer :)
Unwaged $15 / Waged $20
Vogelmorn Upstairs is not a wheelchair accessible building. There is an accessible bathroom in the space. This is an all ages venue but those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a designated adult after 8pm. The Vogelmorn Precinct is a community space located in a residential area. With that in mind, the team ask that you be kind to others' and that when you leave the gig, you do so quietly to avoid disturbing our neighbours
The Upstairs Bar and Smoked and Pickled Restaurant will be open from 3pm, to book a table for pre-show kai email Alice at smokednpickled@gmail.com
