New Zealand’s rising indie rock sensation, Ani Faafa, are hitting the road this winter to celebrate the release of their debut EP Phonetics. Formed in 2022, the Dunedin four-piece has quickly become a force to be reckoned with bringing the nostalgic sounds of the 2000s indie rock era with a fresh, modern twist.
Ani Saafa has already made waves with their dynamic performances, having packed numerous venues across Dunedin, played to thousands at the legendary Hyde Street Party in both 2023 and 2024, and rocked the stage at the Forsyth Barr Stadium. This year, their energetic shows have captivated audiences at the UCSA O-week festival and they are set to perform at the OUSA Re-Ori week festival in July.
In conjunction with their tour, Ani Saafa are set to release their new EP, Phonetics, on June 5th. The EP includes four tracks, headlined by the single Waste It, which soared to the number one spot on the National Student Radio network charts. Fans can also look forward to an accompanying music video, premiering on June 12th.
The National Tour will bring Ani Saafa’s electrifying live performances to audiences across New Zealand, with stops in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Wanaka, Queenstown, and a triumphant return to Dunedin.
