Having cut his teeth playing bass in the Auckland Jazz scene and with Reggae/Soul band Masaya, Nat Hathaway is keen to establish himself as a solo artist with the release of his debut album ‘Hold Me’. Being fully self-recorded, produced, and mixed, ‘Hold Me’ features a catchy, nostalgic selection of songs inspired by Nat’s passion for 60s pop and 70s disco.
After the release of three singles in 2023, Nat got the attention of Pierre and Henry Beasly from Balu Brigada who offered him an opening slot at their headline show at Hollywood Avondale in August of that year. Nat’s set was described as “Seventies styled blue-eyed Soul Pop” by Red Raven News, also mentioning ‘Waiting on the Line’ as a stand-out in the set which he sings with a ‘smooth swing’.
Featuring a lineup of some of Auckland’s finest musicians, this is sure to be a spectacular show that you won’t want to miss!
