Back in early 2022 Louis proposed that he bring a trio along one Thursday evening and just play a gig here at Hashigo Zake, purely for koha. What we thought was a one-off quickly evolved into a weekly jazz session, with many of the local jazz scene's leaders taking turns to turn up with a house band and see what eventuates.
This week Louis's turn has come back round, and he'll be here at 7pm on Thursday, along with Robert Henderson (bass) and Mike Jensen (drums). They will probably be joined by many other fine local jazz exponents in the hour or two that follows.
