A night of superb acoustic roots, classic and country blues and Celtic Soul with Ma Bell & The Connections.
Ma Bell Is Scottish born Christchurch based folk blues Jazz singer songwriter / producer Isabella (Izzy) Miller Bell who is celebrating 40 years of music, mayhem and performance with a final 5 date tour of the South including two dates in Motueka and Nelson.
Catch her at The Chanel Art Centre in Motueka Saturday 2nd December and on Sunday 3rd December at Fairfield House in Nelson. Both concerts start at 7.30 Doors open 7pm.
Born into a large family and long line of singers and theatre folk in the once shipbuilding Clydeside town of Greenock Izzy Miller Bell is the real deal, a woman of many names and hats, an authentic contemporary blues artist, who has performed in schools, prisons, festival and events locally nationally and internationally documenting her work on four albums.
You can expect to hear a selection of originals alongside superb classic & urban blues Jazz and Celtic soul.
Ma Bell will be accompanied by two of the Souths top session musicians featuring John Bevin on piano/vocs with Mike Kime on upright bass. Tasman based songstress Debra Lee makes a special guest appearance adding her sensitive soulful voice with sass and style to what promises to be a great laid back night of heart warming soul and attitude.
