Negative Space returns to XYZ with a fully stacked club event featuring artists from across Aotearoa.
E-Kare are back once again to crush some squarewaves. Gerrit Jos van Beek and Piupiu Maya Turei have created an alternate reality live set, tapping through the corner worlds, to bring you some sweet sweet chiptrash, hardcore nonsense. This time with more kick!
A former key fixture of the club scene here in Ōtepoti, Strange returns to Negative Space from Te Whanganui-a-Tara. They will be performing a special set of Oceania centric house and techno fresh off a debut 12” release on Italian Disco House label Daje Funk.
From Ōtautahi, we welcome Infordin (Ko Ngāi Tūhoe rāua ko Ngāti Raukawa ōku Iwi) and Waewaexpress (Poutini Ngāi Tahu). As a descendant of Kāti Waewae, Waewaexpress embodies her origins and the ethos of movement. If INFORDIN's sets are a call, your movement is the response. Ravers can expect grooves from the realms of techno, jersey club, amapiano, garage, juke, and wider UK bass with an emphasis on NRG.
On the ground floor we have the Nörty Club. Individually brilliant, and formidable as a team. The three matriarchs of Nörty Club Collective are CANDI, Evo, and Jousey. Expect deep cuts, funky chunky bass, and an oscillating dancefloor.
Weaving across minimal, techno, and house Haszari will bring a deep selection for the end of the night and subdog? will be kicking things off.
