Wellington favourites DARTZ are back with new sports-rock anthem “Earn The Thirst” and are celebrating with a national tour this October/November with four dates in Wellington, Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin.
‘Earn The Thirst’ follows DARTZ’s 2022 debut album The Band From Wellington, New Zealand and is supported by a new video for the song directed by Ezra Simons, shot on Super8mm.
According to DARTZ lead singer Danz, “Earn The Thirst is about putting in the hard yards before you have a beer. Sometimes it’s tempting to skip straight to cracking one open, but it’ll hit so much harder if you put in the work and get sweaty first. As soon as we figured that out we made a song about it.”
DARTZ are Danz (vocals), Clark Mathews (bass), Crispy (guitar) and Rollyz (drums), four best mates from Wellington who have charmed listeners with their fiery garage-punk sound, selling out shows all across the country and claiming a Number 1 charting NZ Album last year with their debut effort.
“It’s been over a year since we have gotten to do a major NZ tour so we are looking forward to getting back on the road for the Earn The Thirst tour”, says Clark Mathews.
