Aotearoa electronic music trailblazer 'The Nomad' performing live with special guest MC's and visuals at The Mothership, supported by festival favourites AlleyKat and Matt Rapid playing their signature deep and hefty bass music.
This will be a huge night with one of the legends of Aotearoa electronica and bass, and with special guests joining The Nomad on stage, including warpTV on live visuals and MC Antsman.
This show is celebrating twenty-five years of musical movement, with the release of The Nomad - ‘Infinite’, a 180gm ‘vinyl only’ double album, featuring 16 hand-picked tracks representing the best of The Nomad’s music, since his first album in 1998, and spanning 7 albums to date.
Those tracks map the progression of Aotearoa’s electronic music scene, as it gathered steam toward the mature, diverse and richly talented scene of today. The Nomad’s own experiences from the early days, featuring at the infamous The Gathering festivals, his own maturation as a musician and father, through to his more recent success as a videographer capturing the beauty of Aotearoa’s West Coast are reflected in this compendium of his best work.
The Nomad - Infinite is a limited-edition release, with only 300 copies to mark this milestone. The LP is a vinyl time capsule of the Nomad’s chronological musical journey over the past quarter century; an organic celebration of home-grown creative expression of the highest order, ever evolving, maturing, and flowing over sonic landscapes.
As the saying goes, “all killers, no fillers” this release is bound to spread love and happiness.
Come and join us at The Mothership, Auckland, on Friday 13th October to celebrate this amazing back catalogue and unique release from one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s electronic music pioneers.
