Gig Information

Exactly 2 years ago we released 'The Light You Throw' with new friends Welcomer. The music continued. The friendship endured. Let's celebrate at The Welsh. Small venue. Big love. Very limited tickets on sale now.

LAKE SOUTH
Lake South takes the best of the Aotearoa New Zealand songwriting tradition and infuses it with raw emotion and electronics. It's like if Don McGlashan went thru some shit and then bought a synth. He released his debut album 'If You're Born On An Island the Ocean Heals You' in 2017 and the follow-up, 'Wellington | Te Upoko O Te Ika', in late 2019. Both records have been critically acclaimed with Graham Reid calling Lake an \"electro-folk postcard poet of his doubting generation\". His 3rd album 'The Light You Throw' is a record full of hope, joy and defiance. Expertly crafted odes to friends, the cities they live in, and the futures they strive for.

WELCOMER
Despite being a relatively new project, Welcomer has already garnered a reputation for poignant live shows. The 5-piece, centred around main songwriter Miles Sutton, write wry and misty pop songs.
