Waiheke Island's Rocky Bay Folk Club are very pleased to open the summer season with the wonderful Celtic Ferret!
Celtic Ferret are Jean Reid and Ian Bartlett, who have been playing folk music for more years then they care to remember. Their repertoire, steeped in the folk tradition, includes tunes, ballads, cautionary tales, stories of rogues and vagabonds and now and again, original material. You can expect to hear guitar, mandolin, whistles, smallpipes, bodhran and anything else within reach.
Sessions with Celtic Ferret are a joyful celebration of traditional music, with plenty of opportunity for audience involvement.
