Te Papaioea outfits Synthetic Children and GTKB are taking their upcoming releases around Te-Ika-A-Maui, across 4 consecutive dates from June 1st-4th. Bringing together Synthetic Children’s hardware electronics, and the crunchy, manic guitars of GTKB, these shows will be a smorgasbord of the latest Swampton sounds.
Synthetic Children are set to drop their 3rd DIY album “Everything's Perpetual” on May 25th, a collection of 2-stepping soundtracks to being trans on the dark, wide streets of Palmerston North. Cuts of dubstep, post-jungle, techno, and footwork mix with unsettling queer sonics, and dysphorically conscious poetry.
GTKB will be playing tracks from their EP ‘Spin’, recently recorded and mixed by Harry Lilley at the Stomach, set to be released June 1st. The instrumental alt-rock 4 piece echoes moments of Te Papaioea’s musical past in their debut release; an energetic and punchy 5 song package.
