This year sees 25 years of Lindy Hop classes in NZ, and Rhythm Club is happy to mark this fabulous milestone with a special night, with live music to dance to from the Symonds St Six!
It was in March of 1998 that Michelle Redward started the first regular weekly classes in Auckland with Jitterbugs NZ, and we have been swinging out ever since!
Rhythm Club is a place for us to get together, share some swingin' tunes, snacks and some time on the social dancefloor, and for this special occasion we’re compiling the finest jazz musicians we can to create a special ensemble to play for us to experience swung jazz as it should be: live and up close!
If you're a dancer, there will be a great floor waiting for your moves! If listening and hanging out is more your vibe, that's ok too!
