The year is 2030.
You wake up, get out of bed and put on some underpants that were lying on the floor among a tangled web of dirty phone chargers and cables. It's time to draw the curtains, but the glare of the acid-green sun is too much to bear right now. After all, your shift at the mine was particularly long and arduous last night.
Beep. Beep. Beeeeeeeep. Kim Hill's hologram croakily informs you that the time is 6pm.
I wonder what is happening at the Wine Cellar, you think. An iced gin and tonic might temporarily relieve the strain of living in this overheated, neoliberal slum. Then you remember ... the Wine Cellar had to shut down because of exorbitant rents, COVID and the cost of living crisis. There hasn't been a good band on bfm since Grecco Romank dropped Shred Tower, Wet Exit, or maybe Ex-Partner's first album that probably came out in late 2023. Oh well. I guess I'll just Ubereats a can of Wattie's-Fonterra Chow and put on some sparksport.co.nz, which is now the only channel and website.
