with Taylorfield
The Allophones are one of Otepoti / Dunedin’s upandcoming bands, with the members already boasting a busy pedigree: The Connolly siblings Barney and Ben stem from The Rhododendrons, and drummer Tane Cotton also plays in Blisspoint, between them they have opened for the likes of Die! Die! Die, Soaked Oats, Night Lunch, Garageland, and The Chills and played numerous live shows, so are more than ready to take themselves around Aotearoa, the old-fashioned way as they jump in a vehicle and do a three week tour in February of next year.
Song driven, the trio is stunning live - expect the purity of pop music lacerated with high end energy and tastefully applied distortion.
