Disfigured Presents: De-Tu and Versa (UK)

Straight off the bat of a South Island festival run, De-Tu and Versa are in Auckland for one night of heavy hitting Bass, Tech, Dub and all things 140. Expect a loud night on the Ghost Soundsystem with a couple of the UKs finest.

With a stacked NZ support lineup of Seeing Doubles and Murk1 (Ōtautahi) this is not one to miss.

DE-TU consists of Jevon Ives & Chris Iona. The duo began creating music under this name in 2016 and since then have released music on Innamind Recordings, Green King Cuts & White Peach Records. They also started their own dubplate series (‘DETUDUBPLATES’) which is now on its fifth episode. Having picked up worldwide attention, they have managed to tour the world, showing off their refined, unmistakable sound. This is UK underground bass music at its finest.

Versa effortlessly combines elements of dub, techno, downtempo & electronica. Bursting onto the electronic music scene in 2010 with records on Smokin’ Sessions, On the Edge & more, the UK producer's early releases fused 2-step grooves with heavy sub bass. After years refining his sound and developing his own unique style of electronic dub music, Versa has found new homes with prestigious labels such as System Music & ZamZam. 2019 saw the birth of his debut vinyl imprint ‘At One’ with the singles ‘Passing Light’ and “Transcending Space and Dub”. More of the same melodic, dubbed out cuts can be expected from on this platform in 2022 and beyond. Versa’s DJ sets provide an eclectic blend of dub, techno, dubstep and everything in between.

Seeing Doubles
Ōtautahi's based duo Misc & Anima has become known for their high energy dubstep/grime
sets in their local club scene. They combine their passion for the dark, heavy, and unique
sonic structures to create their dynamic bass sets. Both talented selectors in their own
rights, Seeing Doubles have quickly established their name as a heavy-hitting deadly duo.

Murk1
Coming from the depths of the 03, Murk1 draws from a vast influence of UK breaks, Grime and dark UK garage highly reminiscent of the FWD club nights that championed many genres so long ago. Keeping to culture with high NRG vinyl sets
