Local eclectic “junk” (jazz-punk-rock-ballad-fuzion) band the Gordian Knots bring their wide repertoire of originals to the big stage at Artworks Theatre on Saturday 3rd December supported by Derek Solomon’s new trio the Death Valley Sweethearts who will kick off the night with their “angular and viciously corrosive anthems”; bursts of lean, taut noise aiming straight for the jugular.
Four years after Gordian Knots' debut at the infamous Pirate Party Onetangi Hall, 2018, their sound has developed and matured - now with 22 songs under their belt an counting. Lyrics written by lead singer and poet Scott Ethell story-telling his life-journey, with arrangements developed by classically trained musician Craig Kinney on bass, Mark Forlong on drums, Wanda Kinney on keyboard and Marcus Kinney on Sax.
DJ Snoop will round off the night with a blend of deep, funky soulful house sounds.
