The Mulls are thrilled to present their Slow TV album release tour, hitting 5 dates in some of the country's most beloved venues at each end of this summer.
The Pōneke jangle punks are fresh off the release of their student radio SMASH HIT single Two Pie Day, which gave listeners a small taste of what's to come on their upcoming debut full length album with its off kilter grooves, earworm hooks and dry wit. Slow TV promises to be an album full of surprise and familiarity, lightly peppered with all of the great indie rock genres de jour such as shoegaze and mathrock, while firmly rooted in the NZ pop guitar jangle.
This tour will serve The Mulls up at their best. Hayden Slaughter and Tom Dench are joined by Albert Bannister (Cartoon Villain, The Changing Same) on bass, and the unit is cohesive and colourful (and rocks FRICKEN hard). The Mulls will share the stage with a host of friends, new and old, and each show will be a wonderful event in itself.
The Mulls are joined at The Crown Hotel by Marsha and Hōhā
Marsha are a four-piece post-punk outfit, born in the Ōtautahi university scene in the early stretches of 2018. Their sharp performances come from playing many shows at renowned bars such as Darkroom and Space Academy alongside like-minded bands such as This Dog, Layaround, and St. Peter’s Thursday.
Their second release of 2022, Iris, is a single that's fast-paced, anxious, and constantly shape-shifting. They’re looking forward to playing it live for the first time with The Mulls at the Crown.
Hōhā is the freshly minted duo project of Liam Clune (Night Lunch, Crime Hospital) and Madison Kelly (Riot Gull). Armed with one (1) drum kit, one (1) guitar, many (misc) pedals, and two (2) voices, they stitch together riffs and noise for all of Ōtepoti to enjoy.
