Celebrating the release of their new singles Caution to the Wind and Queen of my World, Castlecliff Lights will be touring in November and December 2022. Based in Whanganui, the four piece band evolved out of singer and guitarist Ellen Young's solo project of the same name. Their genre bending psychedelic, ethereal, durge, indie rock takes the audience on a rollercoaster that can sometimes take the form of sweet, haunting, reverb filled female vocals and at other times
culminate in a jarring all-encompassing wall of noise.
Playing with them is Space Trash, also from Whanganui. Culminated from fragments of surf, punk and spacejunk, they eminate a positively electric vibration.
Also returning to Palmerston North for the gig is Sweater. Provencial angst post-punk with a side of shoegaze.
Doors open at 8pm, first band at 9pm. $20 cash on the door, $15 presales available through UTR.
Castlecliff Lights' first singles “Caution to the Wind” and “Queen of My World” will be released on Bandcamp October 6th, 2022. Other streaming platforms to follow soon after.
