This October, alt-folk adventurers Tom Cunliffe and Ebony Lamb are teaming up for a 6-date Aotearoa Tour in support of Tom’s new album, Secret Exhibition. They’ll be performing solo, and together, in a series of intimate venues across the nation.
It’ll be the first time they’ve toured since the pandemic, a long time between drinks for two road-hardened artists. Previous tours have seen Tom travel across NZ and Europe in support of his 2018 album Template for Love – and Eb’s sold-out tours with Eb & Sparrow are the stuff of legend.
Tom’s latest record is a return to the warm acoustic sounds of his early songs. Built on nylon strings and creaky pianos, it has the feel of a candle lit room at 3am. Produced by Dave Khan (Reb Fountain, Marlon Williams), it was recorded over five days at The Lab. Eamon Edmundson-Wells (Louisa Nicklin) brought his expertise on upright bass and Tom Broome (Tami Neilson, TEEKS) took the role of time keeper on the drums.
Expect dark rooms, hearty banter and great songs – old and new.
