Solo Ono:
Poneke garage/pop trio, Solo Ono are excited to release their third EP in four years, Lavender. The EP explores the passive-aggressive landscape of New Zealand, toxic masculinity, having a good time during covid and good old death within the sonic texture of these four tracks.
Once You Know:
Once You Know’s eponymous debut EP started as Jordan Stewart’s solo project. It was recorded as emotions of solitude during lockdown written on Synthstrom’s deluge; the music then materialised into a 5-piece band set up and was recorded by Warwick Donald. Stewart’s voice emerges from his cold garden shed. It evaporates as a musical tornado into the hearts and souls of Newtown.
Danica Bryant:
Sharply bitter yet sickeningly sweet, Danica Bryant is no ordinary songwriter. Born to the fruitful music scene in Napier, New Zealand, her songs cover intense topics such as adolescence, mental health, and young love. “All hard guitar and pain-filled howl” (The Hook NZ), this woman bites back.
