Ōtepoti, its been a while! Pōneke-based Waterfalls & crone are excited to be back in town to play with long-time fave’s Death & The Maiden ahead of forthcoming releases for all three acts in 2021.
WATERFALLS
Waterfalls trusts in an intuitive approach to composition and creates beautiful melodies and lush immersive timbres from hypnotic loops, synthesiser explorations and processed flute and vocals. Her euphoric and mesmerising performances wind their way through movements creating impressionistic atmospheres, crystallising emotional states and delivering knock out vocals.
DEATH AND THE MAIDEN
Death And The Maiden craft a shadowy sound world, filled with melancholic synth arpeggios, reverb-drenched guitars, and sighing vocal melodies. The combination is both hypnotic and devastating, exploring themes of love, loss, and decay, wrapped in tactile electro-acoustic languor.
CRONE
crone is the sci-fi goth duo of Emily Berryman and Lucy Reid. Their sound is underpinned by a sustained sense of drama, stirring effected live loops and samples into an intoxicating mix that evokes the space in between dance and drone, dark and melancholic.
