Arjuna and his band play at Meow on the 21st of November as a part of the Wellington Jazz Festival, to celebrate the release of his new EP 'Recovery Pt.1'.
Arjuna Oakes is a singer/songwriter and producer from Auckland, currently based in Wellington. Following the release of his debut EP in 2019 with a combined 500,000+ Spotify listens, Arjuna and his band have been exciting audiences pre and post lockdown with sold-out shows at San Fran in Wellington and performances at festivals last summer such as Rhythm and Vines, 121 festival and Tora Bombora.
Arjuna's new EP Recovery Pt.1 released on November 20th, is about the process of healing in relation to the planet, ourselves, and our society in the current moment. The EP features live in studio performances by Arjuna and his band, creating a cohesive experience filled with creative improvisation, interesting production and meaningful songwriting.
