The Ministry of Folk is the alternative folk club - intimate performances in a beautiful old church hall halfway down Dominion Road in Mt Eden. With cabaret-style seating and BYO drinks, a splendid time is guaranteed for all. All proceeds to guest musicians.
We are proud to feature Sam Loveridge at April's MOF: A young folk singer-songwriter and multi instrumentalist who was one of the standouts at the recent Auckland Folk Festival. His sound ranges from subtle fingerpicking to full band explosions awash with drums, 70's inspired keyboard sounds, electric guitar and banjo. Sam's debut album clarity is out now and we look forward to hearing an energetic set from him.
Foxtrots aka Zoe Scott completely blew us all away at the Auckland Folk Festival. In her short 19 years Zoe has been awarded many national and international awards. Foxtrots captivates audiences with her powerful, yet effortless voice accompanied with an emotional vulnerability beyond her years. Not to be missed
Hoop will host this event and present another diverse set of original songs with banjo and fiddle adding to the folky pop vibe of the evening.
