After one whole year of shifting radio-friendly units from the Darkroom building, your favourite record, comic, zine, merch and lamp repair store is having a Christmas do.
Join Dan, Nick, Mieke, Michael, and Johnny Electric for an evening of self-congratulatory beer-drinking as we celebrate Christchurch's dumbest shop and Santa's birthday.
Featuring professional indie super-group Kool Aid (formerly known as Brian Tamaki & The Kool Aid Kids), venerable post-punk legends Dark Matter (featuring Michael), nang-huffing malcontents BnP (featuring Johnny Electric), hardcore state-smashers Zhukov (featuring Dan), garage rock delinquent Bad Evil & The Shakin' Evil Hayride (still banned from the shop), lo-fi fuzz-popster Jim Nothing (back in town for the holidays), sampledelic big-beat rinser Uncle Quentin (aka Tim Moore, in his first live performance), and analog synthesizer sadboy Nuevo Wavo (formerly known as Sexxxy Selfie.) Mieke and Nick and Tim from Pinacolada Records might DJ because they don't have bands. Yet.
Two stages, too many musicians, five dollar Bryan Browns, shop open 'til late. You cannot afford to miss this once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience. RIDE ON SUPER SOUND FOREVER.
