Whangarei mates, Those Lethals and The Backchat are coming for ya on Friday the 11th of October at The Butter Factory!
Once described as sounding like the lovechild of Fleetwood Mac and Tame Impala, Those Lethals are an indie band whose songs blend simmering electric sweetness, crunchy hooks, and lush dynamic shifts. After being hunkered down over Winter in the recording studio, they are on the road this Spring to promote soon to be released singles from their upcoming sophomore EP. If you like swirling guitar noise, dreamy synth layers, driving basslines, and emotive lady vocals, Those Lethals might just be your cup of cha.
Kicking the night off will be The BackChat. This Auckland based four piece offer up a specious and slinky mix of old school hip hop, pop and RnB with an alternative twist. Bekah Smith, Evon Lavea, Jess Hix and Michael Anderson each come from different musical backgrounds but it’s their united love of hip hop influences like Anderson Paak., Erykah Badu, Childish Gambino, and The Internet that tie them together. They are on tour this Spring promoting their self-titled debut EP.
