Aucklands Carnivorous Plant Society, helmed by the multi-talented Finn Scholes, are bringing their fantastical vision in sound to venues across Aotearoa this winter, celebrating the twin-pronged release of a new album The People Below and an accompanying graphic novel of the same name. Along with his instrumental and compositional prowess as experienced on 2018s long-player The New King, Scholes is renowned for his mind-bending and playful animated works showcased in CPSs self-created music videos, which are often projected at their live shows. The band will be complimented for their Auckland and Wellington events by a celebrity choir plus horns courtesy of everyones favourite tooting twosome Hopetoun Brown. The idea of a graphic novel fleshing out Scholes visual work is a tantalising prospect indeed. Carnivorous Plant Society promise to take punters on a musical trip from the streets of Mexico to the mountains of Asia to the depths of hell – catch them in the near future at the dates below...
