Between support for Philip Jeck in 2008, and Rashad Becker in 2018, the localised environments of ird have consisted, at different times, of extracting sound from percussive objects that remain concealed in bags, turntable platter obstructions (sans recorded media), blank cassettes (no external input), and stretched skin amplification.
It’s a mystery to ird as to what their next sonic release will consist of, but it will be sound.
