Splore Festival has announced UK grime superstar Dizzee Rascal will be returning to New Zealand after five years to headline the February 2018 event.
The annual Auckland festivals first international lineup announcement includes such huge names as Jamaican reggae artist Chronixx, Detroit hip hop producer and MC Black Milk, and NYC viral busking sensations Too Many Zooz. Also heading to our shores are KAOS (Japan), My Baby (Netherlands), Bonaparte (Germany), DJ Marcelinho da Lua (Brazil), and DJ’s Courtesy and Mama Snake (both from Denmark).
Local artists will be solidly represented, the lineup features RIA Hall, The Nudge, Manuel Bundy, Greg Churchill, Lady Flic, Aroha and Tali.
Splore is a three-day music and arts festival staged annually on the shores of Tapapakanga Regional Park – perhaps the most beautiful festival setting in the world.
But its more than a good place. Its a good place in your heart.
Throughout the three days – and deep into the night – an eclectic lineup of musical artists from New Zealand and abroad plays the festival stages. Performing arts, installations, workshops and forums flower across the site. And people dance like no ones watching.
Its the best sort of party. But its more than a party, its a community. To come to Splore is to be part of Splore. Be kind, be respectful, be up for it.
