French for Rabbits announce NZ North Island shows
Atmospheric indie-pop band French for Rabbits have announced a five date tour for the North Island of New Zealand this August and September. On the tour they will be playing anticipated first shows in Te Awamutu and Hamilton. They will also be performing at favourite haunt The Wine Cellar in Auckland, and in their hometown Wellington. The tour will celebrate the release of the second single ‘It Will Be Okay’ from their new album The Weight of Melted Snow.
The band are well-respected for their work in Europe where they have toured several times. On this tour they will be performing some of their most intimate and their most expansive songs. The aptly named Brooke Singer who is the whimsical, soft spoken bandleader said of the tour that she hopes they can create a show where audiences can set their minds adrift as if on a gently swaying boat on a currently calm, but potentially soon to be stormy sea’.
Later in the year UK audiences will also get a chance to be transported by the bands cinematic, ghostly yet tender songs, when the album is released there and the band return for a string of Live Nation promoted concerts.
