Gig Information

West Auckland’s favourite Americana rockers, The Miltones, will be touring the country in June and July in support of their debut self-titled album (released 16th June).

Starting out as a teenage duo, front woman Milly Tabak and lead guitarist Liam Pratt toured the country as The Miltones, gaining friends in far away places and sharing their earlier material such as the memorable Gypsy Queen and the more recent single Black Dahlia, which served as the duo’s debut single in 2014.

In the band’s true down to earth spirit, Milly has hosted Miltones gigs in a paddock at The Tabak family farm, which draws over 200 paying guests to the rural outskirts of Auckland, where the band performs inside a purpose built venue. The band has also shared the stage with supported singer-songwriter, Jamie Lawson, and toured with The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band on their last visit to New Zealand, as well as shared stages with local musician friends Sal and the Babyshakes, The Leers and Miloux.

Milly reflected on the long road to get to this point, “Imagination has always walked my mind to endless possibilities. One of these was recording an album, touring the country, meeting new people and sharing a love of music. I am incredibly excited, nervous and ecstatic to share what has been something I have kept close to my soul and soared in my mind’s eye , since I was 14. ”.

Now they’re hitting the road around New Zealand in support of their debut album. Some shows will be with the full band including the amazing talents of Guy Harrison on keys (Hollie Smith), Chris Marshall on bass (Miss June) and Tom Broome on drums (Esther Stephen & The Means, Hollie Smith) and the trio shows will be Milly, Liam and Guy.

In whatever formation they appear, they create an infectious fiery energy on stage in a knee slappin’, foot stompin’, booty shakin’
kinda way.
