Two of Christchurch's favourite globetrotting songwriters Andrew Keoghan and Flip Grater, will present a very special homecoming show April 21, performing songs from their recently released, critically acclaimed albums.
It's Los Angeles-based Keoghan's first outing in the garden city since his LP Every Orchid Offering was released last year.
'If anything, it reminds me of David Bowie’s similarly genreless ★ or the work of Kirin J Callinan, but possessed by an exquisite chamber-pop grace befitting Grizzly Bear or Dirty Projectors'. – Stereogum
Keoghan will be joined by drummer Alistair Deverick (Neil Finn, Lawrence Arabia) and bassist Cass Basil (Tiny Ruins).
For Flip Grater, the evening marks a welcome return to the stage after a year's maternity leave. She'll perform a slew of news songs and those from 2014's Pigalle.
'The fourth album from the New Zealander is beguilingly peaceful and impresses, with little auditory adventures that reflect her chosen home of Paris and also her artistic integrity' – Rolling Stone Germany
