March 2016 will see HANNAHBAND, one of Sydney’s favourite emotional punk bands, touring NZ for the first time. Their committed and cathartic live performances, in addition to the hit-packed second album Retirement, saw the the band win over a lot of new fans in 2015. These new fans included Carb on Carb, which lead to them playing together in various cities in Australia, and becoming label mates twice (Lesstalk Records [AUS] and Ronald Records [USA]).
The tour will double as the release for HANNAHBAND’s third album. 'Quitting will improve your health' is a loose concept record about breaking down the stigmas attached to mental health issues. It was recorded live over two days with Dylan Adams (who has worked with Oslow, Pinch Hitter) in his Coogee Beach studio and was mastered by Jonathan Boulet.
And appearing at all shows are Carb on Carb; the tour will be their first of NZ in almost a year, and the first since their US and Australian tours which included playing CMJ and Fest 14.
