Strange News & 95bFM announce a slight change of plan!
This Monday 17th February, UK post-punk legends are now playing at the
venue they brought to its knees in 2011 - THE KINGS ARMS!
Last here for a packed out bFM Private Function at the Kings Arms in 2011, seminal UK quartet Wire are returning to the venue in support of their critically acclaimed 2013 release ‘Change Becomes Us’, this Monday February 17th.
Joining founding members Colin Newman, Graham Lewis, and Robert “Gotobed” Grey is guitarist Matthew Simms, also known as frontman for UK indie darlings It Hugs Back; now considered a permanent fixture within the group… Yet another twist in the colourful tale of Wire!
An always forwards-moving entity, writing the book on everything from British punk to synth-pop, Wire have in the past been infamous for their flat refusal to play their earlier “hits”, once resorting to hiring a Wire tribute band as their own support act. On this tour, however, fans will see the band showcasing newer material as well as classics from their wide ranging oeuvre. Brilliant.
Please note: All tickets purchased for the Powerstation are still valid for the new venue, however if you feel you require a refund, a full refund is available from your point of purchase.
