Opening the evening will be Anna Laurence
Anna rarely writes about her feelings directly. Instead, the French-Kiwi singer-songwriter blends them into stories, inspired by the people and nature around her. Based in Auckland, her music draws influence from artists like Billie Marten and Lizzy McAlpine. With poetic imagery and metaphors, she finds ways to express what can be difficult to put into words. Now, her sound is beginning to shift towards something more atmospheric, drawing on influences like Portishead and Zero 7.
