Core member of KITA, Pōneke producer Ed Zuccollo aka Zuke stretches out to boldly explore interstellar sonic worlds on his debut solo album Come Closer, the first release from Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa’s new sub-label Loop Electronic. Precisely crafted over a six year period, Come Closer feels multi-dimensional in scope, alluding to sublime scales on 'Pillars Of Creation', 'Voyager' and 'Time' — venturing from misty ambient contemplation to club-rattling dubstep and emotively pulsing house / techno. Standout new track 'Hazel Tales' moves bodies and minds with crystalline percussion, booming low end and oceanic washes, while inviting opener 'Ice Bear' eases listeners in with a bubblebath of playful synthetic tones, hitting them with a depth charge drop three quarters of the way through.
