Cruelly is hosting a house party to celebrate their lead singers birthday with Mall Goth, Debt Club and Cathexis (DJ).
Dress code: Black (like you're attending a funeral).
Cruelly is a grunge/punk band with shoegaze influence, heavily inspired by the alternative music scenes in Aotearoa. Cruelly has been honing in on an energetic and cathartic live performance. Watching Cruelly perform live increases life expectancy.
Mall Goth are a loud, intense unit that bridge the gap between shoegaze and neo-punk. Formed earlier this year, they wasted no time arriving on the alternative Wellington scene with a stream of gigs and a smattering of rough, DIY Soundcloud demos. Their introduction to the public was marked by a captivating live performance on the Flying Nun series What Was That Thing?.
Debt Club are a Pōneke 5-piece that capture the raw live essence of contemporary indie and alt rock and cohesively blend that with an introspective and pertinent folk rock feel. With two guitars, drums, bass, saxophone and three part vocal harmonies, Debt Club's sound is rich with layers that work to complement each other in order to create a lush soundscape brimming with energy.
