A night of improvised music blending the voices of local players
Tom Callwood (double bass) is an improvisor and collaborator who has performed throughout NZ and the UK. A regular in the Te Whanganui-a-Tara experimental music scene, Tom has played at The Space, Happy, Fred’s and Pyramid Club and is the producer of the semi-regular improv night held at Pyramid Club, ’2+2+2=3’, encouraging interesting & diverse combinations of local improvisors.
Andy Wright (drums) is a percussionist, keyboardist with over 15 years playing experience both nationally and internationally. He is a regular performer of improvised music at Pyramid Club. He is also a visual artist, exhibiting a collection of paintings at Pyramid Club's gallery in 2022.
Chris Prosser (violin) has been active since the 1970s, playing in the post-hippie rock outfit Te Aroha in Christchurch, working with Jonathan Besser in Wellington before living in London and writing dozens of studies for scordatura (altered tuning) violin. He's a captivating improviser.
Simon O’Rorke (synth), originally from the UK, is a regular performer in the local improvised music scene since the late 1980's.
