There’s a legend around here. A killer buried, but not dead. A curse on Crystal Lake, a death curse. Jason Voorhees’ curse. They say he died as a boy, but he keeps coming back. Few have seen him and lived. Some have even tried to stop him. No one can.
Except maybe..
MALEVOLENCE (Tāmaki Makaurau)
Malevolence are New Zealand’s longest standing purveyor of Metal and Grind. Through extensive touring and numerous releases the band has achieved a reputation not only for its unique style but also as an engaging live act.
Formed in 1992, Malevolence has hit the road with bands such as Brutal Truth & DRI, Dismember, Napalm Death, Primate & Lock Up, Impaled Nazerene, Blood Duster, Misery & Atomizer, Pungent Stench, and Midnight from the USA, as well many local acts. The band has also appeared at major NZ metal festivals such as Christchurch’s Satanfest, Wellington’s Punkfest, Capital Punishment, Scumfest & Hellington666, Auckland’s Audience with the Devil, Mammoth Metalfest and Fangfest.
DOLE BLUDGER (Te Whanganui-a-Tara)
Dolebludger are a genre crisis crust band from Wellington bringing some of the sludgiest crustiest noise to mutilate your eardrums. They have opened KRUELTY (Japan), NAPALM DEATH and WORMROT. And got their asses charred on an Aussie tour earlier this year. If you thought the winz hold music was bad wait till you hear this.
