The Birds are a five piece band from Tāmaki Makaurau who specialise in the rock funk genre, sharing the likes of Aotearoa legends Supergroove. The Birds achieved 1st place at the Smokefree Rockquest North Shore Regional Finals in 2023 and won the ZM Best Song Award in 2024 for their song Refrain. Their debut EP Nothing Special highlights the energetic and engaging sound that The Birds bring to Aotearoa’s Indie Music Scene.
