- Bodega, Wellington - Fri, 05 December 08
- Ellen Melville Hall, Auckland - Sat, 06 December 08
THE ACACIA STRAIN may seem like a revolving door in regards to their members however their goal has remained the same, to produce the heaviest music known to man by fusing hardcore, death metal, melody and by tuning their guitars to dropped G#. With the release of their latest record, ‘Continent’, THE ACACIA STRAIN saw themselves at #2 on the ‘Billboard Heatseekers’ chart and #107 on the Top 200 chart in it’s first week of sales. This success has led them onto sharing the stage with metal band Unearth this October for a vast tour across the States before they arrive in NZ to unleash their dominating live performance upon Auckland and Wellington.
It would almost be too easy to describe A DAY TO REMEMBER as the creators of one of the most unforgettable melodic hardcore albums of 2007, but that would not make it any less true. Hailing from Ocala, Florida, A DAY TO REMEMBER have created a unique blend of what can best be called ‘pop-mosh’, a combination of high energy, heartfelt harmonies and brutal breakdowns in the choruses. You can hear the melodic chaos in all it’s glory on 'For Those Who Have Heart', their debut album out now through Victory Records.
A CAUSE TO UNITE is a message based metallic hardcore band from Brisbane, Australia. Taking influence from bands such as Have Heart and Ruiner all the way through to Parkway Drive and Misery Signals, the band has created a unique blend of metal infused hardcore. With a punishing live set that has led them to support some of the finest acts in Australia including Carpathian and The Amity Affliction; no stone will be left unturned when this Brisbane hardcore band hit our shores in December.
