Pacific Music Awards 2015 Finalists Announced

The finalists for the 2015 Vodafone Pacific Music Awards have been announced and see relative new comers Team Dynamite dominating the list. The Auckland-based hip hop group have been nominated for an award in four categories - Best Pacific Urban Artist, Best Pacific Music Video, Best Pacific Song and Best Pacific Music Album. The group, which is comprised of Lucky Lance, Tony Tz and Haz Beats, will be going head-to-head with Cydel and Fiafia Band for the best album award.  

Also up for a nomination for Best Pacific Music Video is Coco Solid for her self-directed clip for single 'Heaven's Gate'. The video documents the FAFSWAG Ball in South Auckland and shines an empowering light on the fa'afafine community. Learning of her nomination, Coco Solid wrote on her Facebook page: "Those who know me, know how important this project was to me and how hard we all worked. I am also happy that 'Heaven's Gate' has been recognised by the Pacific community from which it was creatively born and one of the strong cultural communities that I belong to."

The winners will be announced at an event on Saturday 13th June at the Vodafone Events Centre in Auckland. Check out the full list of finalists below...
