Dunedin Musician Peter Gutteridge Dies
Monday 15th September, 2014 1:17PM
Peter Gutteridge, a founding member of Dunedin institutions The Chills, The Clean and Snapper, has passed away. The musician's death was initially reported by Simon Sweetman from blog Off The Tracks, who earlier today wrote: "I know very little about Gutteridge’s life. But I was touched by his music. I’m writing this now to pass on the news so that those of you who were similarly touched by his music".
Gutteridge was born in Dunedin and was in his early 50s. In recent years he had reformed his band Snapper and played a raft of shows including the 2013 Camp A Low Hum, he also had their 1988 EP Snapper re-released on vinyl. Our thoughts are with Peter's family at this time.
