Listen: Black Lips - Boys In The Woods

Atlanta-based upstarts the Black Lips will release a new album called Underneath the Rainbow via Vice Records next March. The spitting, swearing, generally debauched group have gone and done the unthinkable: written a soft, sentimental song called 'Boys in the Woods'. Sure, the song's title is apparently a pun about "doing bathtub drugs and drinking bathtub gin", and the band's new press shot is definitely a stab at musicians who are more emotionally in-tune than themselves (read: everyone), and perhaps this is all to lull us into a false sense of what to expect from the album. Not only is this kind of a ballad, it's a twangy, upbeat, impressive one. Have a listen below.
