Kurt Vile Announces New Album + Download First Single 'Wakin On A Pretty Day'

Our favourite Philadelphian, and singer-songwriter more generally, Kurt Vile has announced the release of a follow up to his excellent 2011 album Smoke Ring For My Halo. The new record is called Wakin on A Pretty Daze and is out at the start of April via Matador Records. Accompanying the good news is the first single from the album 'Walking On A Pretty Day', a dazed and swoony number which can be heard HERE via Matador (right click to download free) and it also soundtracks a promo video for the album which documents the creation of the album's cover art (pictured above) by legendary Philadelphia artist ESPO (Steve Powers)...
