Bill Callahan Reveals 'Breakfast’ From New Album 'Gold Record'

There are those who will fight to the death over whether Smog’s 1993 album Julius Caesar is Bill Callahan’s best record or not, and I’m one of those people as ‘I Am Star Wars!’ completely rules. That said, the veteran US songwriter’s new tune ‘Breakfast’ is pretty dang swish too, literally singing the praises of his “favourite meal of the day” while alluding to gritty domestic relationship issues over the artist’s genial guitar strum. Callahan has been serving up songs from his new album Gold Record every week in the lead up to its release in early September, take in his delectable latest tune alongside the rest of the tracks revealed so far via the stream below…
