Listen To Arlo's Sparkling Instrumental Album 'Light Underwater'
Arlo is the solo recording project of Muriwai-based artist Arlo Grey, whose debut album Light Underwater is a collection of gently-paced instrumentals and luminescent ambient soundscapes. Against a warm crackle of tape fuzz Arlo draws in listeners with meditative guitars and questing pianos, creating slow-motion, free-floating worlds of sound. Dedicated to the artist's elder sister Amelia, Light Underwater's accompanying liner notes list possible scenarios where you could enjoy the record including "while studying, reading, catching the bus, flying in a plane, driving a car, walking somewhere, at home, cooking something, sitting down, lying in the sun, watching the sun rise, watching the sun set, looking at the sea, looking at the sky, daydreaming..." If you find yourself in one of those situations, best dive in below...
