US electronic adventurer George Clanton helped set the scene for the vaporwave genre as ESPRIT 空想 in the early part of our decade, and more recently has been releasing a run of scorching tunes and riotous videos under his own name. His label 100% Electronica dropped a vinyl edition of Auckland producer Satin Sheets' album St. Francis to much international acclaim in January, followed by a series of US shows featuring Clanton, Satin Sheets and popular Richmond, Virginia artist Negative Gemini.
